The Singing Bird
Illusion of Life was a pivotal course in my animation journey, where I delved into the intricacies of frame-by-frame animation using Procreate and Toon Boom Harmony.
The focal point of this animation was capturing the bird's unique and lively movement. Birds possess a distinct way of transitioning between actions, often characterized by rapid accelerations. My goal was to employ keyframe animation techniques to recreate the bird's fluidity and liveliness. In terms of sound design. I chose contrasting audio to introduce a sense of conflict and unease, enhancing the emotional depth of the animation.

🌊 風
風 is a weekly practice I created as part of my coursework. I made a looping animation featuring a fantasy-style character whose body is composed of waves, with her hair swaying gracefully in the wind.
It saves me a huge amount of work making the character with her face and hair accessories stay in the foreground. To animate her hair, I imagined the intricate movements of her hair and the mesmerizing wave patterns that would form when caressed by the wind. The wave-like texture on the character's clothing was inspired by traditional Chinese painting patterns, which often depict the flow of clouds.
