Garden Land is a project focused on understanding the distinctions between 2D and 3D animation, exploring their respective limitations, and delving into the beauty that arises when blurring the boundaries between them.
This game project started as an experiment, aimed at bridging the gap between 2D and 3D animation. I ventured into the realm of Live2D for the first time, breathing life into my flat illustrations. To my astonishment, the project's minimalistic style, combined with the illusion of depth created through deformations, gave the 2D animations a three-dimensional quality. This imbued them with the appearance of moving and rotating within a space.
